Texas Big Face, 2009- is the projection of a person’s face onto any object or three dimensional sculpture(s) to transform that object into interactive art. A person positions their face within a jig and their image is captured via camera. The camera is connected to a projector and the image is projected onto a sculpture.

“What Do We Want” Anti-Prop 8 Piece | Join The Impact 2009, A video piece made after the Anti-Prop 8 protest at City Hall in Houston, TX on November 15th 2008.

On November 15th 2008 several hundred people including myself rallied in front of Houston’s city hall to participate in the international day of protest against proposition 8 and for the rights of marriage for gays and lesbians.

At the end of the protest, I asked those with signs to show them and made this video. I was inspired to create this piece in support of the cause for equal rights for all.

Made for the 48 Hour Film Project, the 48HFP is a festival/competition in which you and a team make a movie — write, shoot, edit and score it—in just 48 hours.
